01About the role

Most of our product’s “interface” is a phone call — but around it sits everything a clinic touches: the console where practice managers review calls and bookings, the dashboards group executives read, the protocol tools our clinical engineers live in, and the chat widget patients use. You’ll own the design of all of it.

You’ll also design the conversations. Turn-taking, confirmation phrasing, how the agent says “I’ll get a human” — these are design decisions with the same care as any screen, and you’ll shape them with our voice engineers.

You’d be our first design hire, working directly with the founders. High trust, high ownership: research, IA, interaction, visual, and the design system that keeps it coherent.

02What you'll do

  • Own product design across the platform console, analytics dashboards, protocol authoring tools, and patient-facing chat surfaces.
  • Design conversation experiences with the voice team: dialogue flows, confirmation patterns, escalation moments, and error recovery.
  • Run lightweight research with practice managers and clinic staff — people with eight browser tabs and a queue of patients.
  • Build and maintain the design system across marketing and product surfaces.
  • Prototype at whatever fidelity gets the answer fastest — paper, Figma, or working code.
  • Set the design bar and the design culture for the hires who come after you.

03What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of product design for complex B2B or operational software, with shipped work you can walk us through.
  • Strong systems and interaction design — dense data, workflows, and states, not just marketing pages.
  • Evidence you design for busy, non-technical users under time pressure.
  • Comfort working directly with engineers in a fast loop — you don’t need a design ops layer to be effective.
  • Clear writing; much of this product’s UI is language.
  • Australian work rights.

04Nice to have

None of these are required — they're bonuses, not filters.

  • Conversation or voice UI design experience.
  • Healthcare or other regulated-domain product work.
  • Front-end literacy (HTML/CSS, component thinking, or light React/Astro).
  • Data visualisation chops for the analytics surfaces.

05What we offer

  • $130k–$170k AUD plus equity.
  • Genuinely flexible hours built around a calm, senior team — no performative overtime.
  • Hardware of your choice and a home-office budget.
  • Four weeks leave plus a company-wide end-of-year shutdown.
  • A seat at the table while the company is still small enough that your opinion sets direction.
